Ilan Godfrey

South African born, Ilan Godfrey holds a BA (Hons) degree in Photography and a MA degree in Photojournalism from the University of Westminster, London. His photography has been recognised by various international photography awards and exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums worldwide, including the National Portrait Gallery in London, Iziko South African National Gallery in Cape Town, Wits Art Museum in Johannesburg, Musée du quai Branly in Paris and most recently Everard Gallery in Johannesburg.

 

His work continues to be featured in a broad range of leading international publications including The New Yorker, WIRED Magazine, Le Monde Magazine, ZEIT Magazine, The Sunday Times Magazine, Wallpaper Magazine, Guardian Weekend Magazine and the Financial Times Magazine among many others.

 

Aside from his editorial work he collaborates with institutions and organisations worldwide, regularly working on bespoke commissions for global brands including, The Open Society Foundation, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The MasterCard Foundation, Barclays Bank, VISA Card, The Toyota Mobility Foundation, GlaxoSmithKline and Thompsons Travel.
